06/09/2016 NNDC ON A WORKING VISIT TO THE GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR OF NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION (NNPC) ABUJA

A bilateral meeting was held between New Nigeria Development Company Limited (NNDC) and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on 6th September, 2016 at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.

Alhaji Bashir Mohammed Dalhatu (Walin Dutse), the Chairman of NNDC led the delegation from the Company which comprised of the Group Managing Director Alhaji Ahmed Musa Mohammed, and other Management Staff.

The NNDC Chairman informed Dr. Maikanti Kachalla Baru, the GMD of NNPC, that NNDC along with its nineteen owner States were totally committed to the exploration of Oil and Gas in the North Eastern Region of Nigeria. He further informed Dr, Baru that NNDC has been having consultations with other stakeholders notably the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), with a view to actualizing the project. Specifically, the Chairman stated that the courtesy call on the GMD, NNPC was in furtherance of NNDC’s wide consultations on exploration of its oil blocks in the Chad Basin and Benue Trough and that NNDC was in partnership with Savannah Petroleum Plc, London to develop the oil blocks.

In his response, the GMD NNPC expressed his delight with NNDC for engaging the services of a reputable technical and financial partner for the project and pledged the support of the NNPC for the project.
